 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Inspect jobsites and crews in the field on a daily basis to assess safety conditions and recommend corrective actions when needed
  • Complete jobsite safety assessments and advise crew leaders of deficiencies with improvement action plans
  • Promote safety and health awareness by initiating training sessions, internal memoranda, newsletters, etc.
  • Assist Group Leaders in accomplishing Strategic Planning Risk Management goals 
  • Provide clear documentation of safety-related activities for accurate records 
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supply of personal protective equipment for field employees
  • Build trust and respect among field personnel to ensure embracement of company safety policies & practices
  • Job spends 80% of time in the field with 40 hours of professional development training required annually
  • Successful candidate will deliver periodic safety update presentations to senior management as needed
  • Successful candidate could spend up to 50% of time traveling to multi-state jobsite operations

Safety Leadership
  • Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment, implementing discipline as necessary to ensure the maintenance of a safe work environment
  • Hold team accountable to maintaining high safety standards
  • Complete daily safety assessments and inspections
CHARACTERISTICS & ABILITIES VITAL TO THIS POSITION:
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Persuasive presentation skills 
  • Detail orientation
  • Organized and self-motivated 
  • Commitment to maintain personal accountability for goals and results 
  • Responsive to completing other tasks as assigned by supervisor 
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: 
  • 5 10 years on-site safety experience 
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations and practices for construction
  • A college degree with emphasis in Safety Management preferred
  • Personal history of safe driving record and practices 
Location: Office is located at 500 South Ewing, Suite G, St. Louis, MO.   

This position does require periods of time sitting in front of a computer throughout the day.
