Summary

L. Keeley's Paving Department is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to work out of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.  We are looking for career driven individuals who take PRIDE in their work.   

Essential Functions

• General supervision of commercial construction projects.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and navigate challenging situations. 
• Demonstrate awareness and understanding of OSHA and Company safety requirements. 
• Maintains consistent and regular attendance.
• Maintain schedule/phasing  of projects with clients, team members and subcontractors.
• Documentation of daily work throughout the duration of the project.
• Consistent communication with the Company team and Company clients.      

Experience and/or Other Requirements

• High School Graduate some College preferred
• Must have experience with general repairs, scoping work, and moving and replacing signage
• Class CDL preferred but will train the right individual

Travel:

• Superintendents are required to travel to 90% of the job sites

Work Environment and Physical Effort

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to varying outside conditions and hazards presented by construction projects including fumes or airborne particles, and noise and vibration levels experienced at construction sites.
• Subject to irregular work schedules.
• Ability to perform duties both outside and inside in varying conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold and wet and/or humid, conditions.
• Ability to safely ambulate a construction site and traverse various terrains.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting.
• Ability to place the body in low to the ground positions to perform certain functions such as checking tire pressure and other inspection duties.
• Free movement of the wrist and hands. 
• Must be able to spend periods of the day walking on surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, and sometimes on slippery and wet surfaces.       
• Ability to operate communication devices.
• Ability to maintain balance on ground.
