Heavy Civil Project Analyst

Essential Functions:

  • General responsibility for financial analysis, reporting, and tracking
  • Work in team environment to constantly improve current processes and systems
  • Participate in strategic planning with other civil group members

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Project Analyst                 80%

  • Review and code material, subcontractor and equipment rental invoices for approval.
  • Prepare daily payroll reports for clients.
  • Solicit invoices and or estimated costs from sub-contractors.
  • Prepare Earned Value Estimation reports for clients.
  • Prepare cash flow reports and control monthly/weekly accruals.
  • Monitor diverse spend and complete customer reporting requirements.
  • Prepare month-end man hour reports.
  • Audit and provide corrective measures to improve quality in the following areas.
    • Subcontractor and vendor performance evaluation including invoicing and other documentation required.
    • Superintendent time sheet completeness.
    • Safety reporting and statistics.
    • Quarterly equipment utilization reports.
    • Regularly interface with client portals for Data and photo uploads

 

Strategic Planning            10%

  • Work with group to develop and execute strategic actions aligned with Company goals.

 

Safety Leadership            10%

  • Participate in Bi-monthly conference calls
  • Hold team accountable to maintaining high safety standards
  • Participate in Company leadership activities

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Performs other tasks as assigned by VP Heavy Civil Group and COO.

 

Characteristics & Abilities vital to this position:

  • Self starter with strong work ethic, and      resilience in the presence of challenge  
  • Personable team player
  • Strong financial acumen with focused attention to      detail
  • Growth oriented with constant improvement mentality
  • Good listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project or Primavera programs with Timberline and pVault knowledge considered a plus.
  • Systematic and organized with the ability to identify and manage priorities  

 

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Finance or Business is preferred, but on job experience will be considered.
