POSITION: Industrial Hygiene / Safety Intern

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Vice President of Risk Management

OVERVIEW:

The Industrial Hygiene / Safety Intern will have the opportunity to work along side the risk management team and experience hands on experience in the construction industry. This intern position will assist in industrial hygiene monitoring, to comply with the new OSHA Silica Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support the Risk Management Team
• Communicate with all members of the Risk Management team for daily task
• Complete proper air sampling for various contaminants using traditional IH equipment to support Keeley's Silica Program
• Air Sampling Capability for construction environments
• Data and information collection and data entry
• Conduct PPE Hazard Assessments
• Be able to provide an update on all assigned task
• Attend department meetings
• Responsible for the completion of any assigned tasks and projects
• Learn and strictly adhere to the safety culture and policies
• Support L. Keeley's mission, vision, and values

 EDUCATION AND/OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently enrolled in college at an accredited University
• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Hygiene

Location: Office is located at 500 South Ewing, Suite G, St. Louis, MO.
