Summary:

Responsible for the development of strategic planning and feasibility studies which provide research and analysis on the marketplace, financial services industry, and future business potential.  Working with financial facilities to independently validate current data, develop objective analysis and projections of the marketplace or the business model, the Planning Consultant provides insight for the decision-making process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Exercise independent judgment and discretion when engaging and interacting with all team members to meet the Customer's and Company's needs.
Set goals, monitor results and evaluate results to meet business objectives.
Manage internal and external relationships vital to meet goals.
Continuous contact with Financial Institution Executives, in both a sales and a consultant role.  The Planning Consultant's work is an important component in bringing in new clients.
Analyzing and Sorting large amounts of data to create visual deliverables used in presentations to management.
Analyzing a Financial Institution's Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.  The Planning Consultant needs to be able to evaluate strength of Financial Institutions by studying deposit and loan growth, transaction numbers, market share, and location analysis.
Developing an expertise in mapping software (ESRI and MBO) and financial services records (FDIC and NCUA) and being able to connect trends between the two.
Being able to read and interpret maps.  It is important to be able to connect growing demographic trends with certain geographic patterns.
Physically driving the market.  What separates L. Keeley from our competitors is our dedication to not only compiling demographic data to support our cause, but to get out there and drive the market ourselves.  The candidate must be comfortable driving and utilizing a map simultaneously.
Create long-term financial and staffing projections for Financial Institutions.  Ability to answer the number one question: "When is the break-even point?"
Conduct interviews with F.I. employees that include, but not limited to, discussing future staffing requirements, industry trends, performance metrics, and whatever else the Planning Consultant deems relevant.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, in Finance, Accounting or related finance field considered a plus
MBA/CPA preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting or financing preferred
Experience with integrated financial systems (e.g. SAP/JDE) a plus
Strong Excel charting and graphics a must
