Project Executive / Senior PM

Position: Project Executive / Senior PM

Immediate Supervisor: Ryan Perryman, Vice President of Building

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop and manage project budgets
Perform construction document management
Create and update project schedules
Direct subcontractors and other construction-related personnel in planning, coordinating and executing the work in accordance with plans developed. 
Exercise independent judgment and discretion when engaging and interacting with our partners to meet the customer's and Company's needs.    
Set goals, monitor results and evaluate results to meet business objectives
Meet operating requirements
Deliver top and bottom line results
Manage internal and external relationships vital to meet goals
Proficient at strategy development and execution
Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Manager
Advanced knowledge of commercial construction project business, including estimating and construction management
Oversee assigned projects and ensure they are executed and completed in accordance with goals
Makes decisions and recommendations which greatly impact projects.
Manage and supervise labor, equipment and subcontractors throughout project completion
Assess project risks and address potential problems and hazards
Develop, revise and oversee schedule, quality, risk management and financial requirements for assigned projects exercising independent judgment to revise such as needed to meet project requirements
Develop and manage projects' budgets
Create and update project schedules
Determine, direct and schedule staff and labor needs
Communicate regularly with customer to ensure satisfaction
Handle employee and customer complaints and grievances
Keep project records current
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients
Communicate effectively with internal and external team members

 

Financial Management     
Ability to accurately assess profit/loss responsibility and current financial status for assigned projects

 

People Management   
Provide advice, guidance and direction to subordinate managers, superintendents and administrative staff toward their professional development
 

Subcontractor Management

Negotiate with and engage in subcontractor solicitation during the bidding process
Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids
Maintain Company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors
Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions including any accepted alternates or addendums with documents

 

Safety Leadership
Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements  
Complete jobsite safety assessments
Hold team accountable to maintain high safety standards
Promote the safety and security of employees

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Timberline Project Management software or similar programs
Bring successful relationships with past customers,  trade associations and business influencers
 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, Architectural or Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management overseeing multiple projects and projects
Advanced knowledge of the construction industry with an understanding of industry trends and innovations

 

Location: Office is located at 500 South Ewing, Suite G, St. Louis, MO.
