Position: Senior Safety Coordinator

Immediate Supervisor: Ray Boehm, Vice President of Risk Management

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assess and address field safety conditions
• Coach and promote safety best practices
• Assist Group Leaders in setting Strategic Planning Risk Management goals
• Instill passion for safety in company employees
• Mentor New Safety Coordinators
• Perform Quarterly Assessments of New Safety Coordinators
• Mentor Safety Champions
• Run Safety Champion Program
• Coordinate monthly Safety Meetings
• Research cost savings and implement programs

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Safety Management

• Assess Crews in the field to ensure work is completed safely / Project Management and Senior Level Management
• Complete Company Site Safety Assessments
• Identifies systematic safety patterns and practices and advises management on problem resolution
• Builds trust and respect with field personnel and senior management to promote open communication and influence adoption of new safety practices
• Develop long lasting partnerships with customers
• Perform near miss / incident investigations
• Determine root cause analysis and implement changes when needed to safety program
• Liaison between field and management to promote Keeley Companies Culture

Safety Education

•  
• Schedule Safety Training
• Promotes safety and health awareness through safety presentations Professional Development
• Completes minimum of 40 hours of professional development per year to maintain knowledge of state of the art safety practices
• Meet with Senior Level Management to determine training needs

Miscellaneous Functions:

• Performs other tasks as assigned by Director Risk Management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6 and Timberline Project Management software or similar programs

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 10 years' experience in on-site / Safety Program Implementation
• SWPPP certifications 500 & 502
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and practices with emphasis in Construction
• History of safe personal practices and driving record
• CPR/FA Instructor
