POSITION: Superintendent / Paving Operator
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20% Travel
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Exercise independent judgment and discretion when engaging and interacting with all project team members to meet the Customer's and Company's needs.
Set goals, monitor results and evaluate results to meet business objectives
Manage internal and external relationships vital to meet goals
Proficient at strategy development and execution
Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements
Communicate effectively with internal and external team members
Communicate regularly with Customer to ensure satisfaction
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
Create a positive work environment, including implementing and enforcing Company policies and procedures
Work directly with customers and Company team members, representing the Company and directing and supervising work on Company projects
Work with Project Manager to plan and communicate project phasing and deadlines
Understand project budget and work within the limits of the budget
Work with client as a representative of the Company to ensure customer satisfaction, exercising independent discretion and judgment to resolve customer concerns and meet customer expectations
Exercising independent discretion and judgement in identifying and addressing potential problems or hazards
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project details
Maintaining QUALITY work in a timely manner, implementing and enforcing Company quality standards
Subcontractor Management
Perform pre-activity meetings with subcontractors to review project requirements, identify work procedures and establish expectations
Ensure subcontractors are working from current construction documents
Safety Leadership
Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements
Create and maintain a safe work environment, implementing discipline as necessary to ensure the maintenance of a safe work environment
Hold team accountable to maintaining high safety standards
Complete daily safety assessments and inspections

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6 and Timberline Project Management software or similar programs
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
High School Graduate but Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or similar preferred
Minimum 2 years' superintendent experience overseeing multiple projects in various market sectors
Advanced knowledge of the construction industry
Must carry or be willing to obtain a membership with the Union
Minimum 2 years' of running a paver
Location: Office is located at 500 South Ewing, Suite G, St. Louis, MO.
